Art Deco Revival in an Urban Setting

We started with a prompt for an Art Deco revival in an urban setting. Warren set the parameters to focus on architectural photography, asking for a dynamic, asymmetrical composition with a wide 16:9 aspect ratio. Using style 250 for creative freedom and style raw for photorealistic quality, we let Midjourney do its thing.

The results were impressive, showcasing both symmetrical and asymmetrical compositions. The vibrant colors, especially the striking yellows, highlighted the distinct Art Deco aesthetic. The top images captured a beautiful mix of geometric shapes and distressed textures, true to the era's style.

Urban Hellscape with Art Deco Revival

I decided to tweak the prompt slightly, changing "urban landscape" to "urban hellscape" while keeping the same settings. The idea was to see how Midjourney would blend the dark, dystopian vibe with the classic Art Deco style.

The outcome was fascinating. While some images leaned towards Brutalism with large, imposing concrete structures, the Art Deco influence was still visible. The vibrant colors remained, though the overall feel was more somber and intense, fitting the "hellscape" description.

9:16 Aspect Ratio Art Deco Revival

Next, we experimented with a 9:16 aspect ratio to see how changing the dimensions would affect the compositions. Warren reused the original Art Deco revival prompt for this vertical layout.

The shift to a portrait orientation brought a different focus, emphasizing the vertical lines and grandeur of the buildings. Despite the change in aspect ratio, the Art Deco elements—geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and detailed textures—remained prominent.

Post-Renaissance Floristry Architecture

For a bit of variety, I switched the theme from Art Deco to a post-Renaissance floristry style, curious to see how Midjourney would handle this blend of classical and floral elements in architecture.

The images were beautiful, combining classical architectural elements with intricate floral details. This prompt highlighted the AI's versatility in interpreting different architectural styles while maintaining a cohesive artistic vision.
